10-4A FOOTBALL STANDINGS
Quick look: The three district favorites-Poteet, West Mesquite and Highland Park-all took care of business in the opening week of 10-4A play, although the Wranglers let Creekview creep a little too close for comfort in the second half.
This week, all three will once again be heavy favorites, as their opponents have a combined record of 2-10.
The two Carrollton schools, Creekview and Newman Smith, will meet on Thursday with the winner gaining the early inside track to a playoff berth.
