Plano resident dies in Frisco car crash

A Plano man died today as a result of injuries from a car crash that occurred at 12:25 p.m. in Frisco.
Dennis Gross, 47, died from injuries sustained when his Hyundai crashed into the rear of a motorized crane in the 10000 block of Independence Parkway. The incident occurred on the stretch of Independence Parkway between Main Street and Eldorado Parkway.
The crane was legally stopped in the right northbound lane of Independence Parkway, according to a statement from the Frisco Police Department. The operator of the crane was not injured, police said.
Frisco police are currently investigating the accident.
