Notes: After starting the season 5-0 only twice in its first 20 years (1999 and 2000), Poteet has accomplished the feat in both 2010 and 2011 and is aiming to make it three in a row on Friday. ... Prior to last week's Homecoming win over Carrollton Newman Smith, the Pirates' last home game was nearly a month ago (Aug. 31). Following this week, they will stay closer to home, with four of their final games in Mesquite.
