West Mesquite's Overton moves to eighth on MISD coaching victory list
With last Thursday's 32-26 victory over Carrollton Creekview, West Mesquite head coach Mike Overton moved into eighth place on the Mesquite ISD all-time coaching victories list.
Overton, in his seventh season with the Wranglers, has now compiled a 49-26 record, moving him past former Mesquite coach Mickey DeLamar.
Overton has led West Mesquite to the playoffs in each of his previous six season, including a trip to the regional championship in 2007.
