Eagles rout Rockwall Christian

Legacy Christian Academy had just one final game before the start of district action this week.

The Eagles did exactly what they wanted to against Rockwall Christian and enter tonight’s game against Flower Mound Coram Deo Academy on a high note after earning a 56-14 victory.

Senior running back Ovie Urevbu led the way for the Eagles, tallying 297 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries. Starting quarterback Adam Beck added another 76 yards and two scores on the ground while completing 8-of-10 pass attempts for 139 yards and two touchdowns.

The rout came after an early 8-0 lead by Rockwall Christian following a 38-yard touchdown run from quarterback Daniel Rorie.

The Eagles bounced back with eight unanswered touchdowns, including an 84-yard scamper by Urevbu to get LCA on the board.

LCA will look to continue its winning ways tonight with a 7:30 p.m. home game against Coram Deo Academy in each team’s district opener.
