Police calls for Aug. 28 – Sept. 4 compiled from information provided by the Police Department.

Aug. 28

8:51 a.m. - Animal complaint in the 500 block of Winchester Drive. Loose dog, put dog back in fence and repaired hole under the fence.

9:17 a.m. - Animal complaint in the 300 block of North Arizona Drive. Loose dog, owner had put dog back in fence and will fix the gate.

12:22 p.m. – Phone harassment in the 600 block of South Colorado Drive. Information report completed.

8:41 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances in the 800 block of West Walnut Street. Reporting Person wanted to speak to an officer about a subject trying to come to the house tonight to break his mom's windows. RP states subject tried to do this before. RP wanted to advise that subject may come to location next door as well.

Aug. 29

11:05 a.m. – Animal complaint in the 1200 block of Miller Lane. Barking dog. Dog wasn't barking but officer spoke with owners babysitter and told her to keep dogs quiet. No offense occurred.

4:55 p.m. - Animal complaint in the 800 block of Mellanie Court. White Lab looked like it had bruises all over it walking the area. When approached, it went to 800 block and laid down in driveway. Dog had been put up. No offense occurred.


5:14 p.m. - Theft in the 200 block of East Pecan Street. Red Peterbild bobtail truck that was parked for the past 2 months behind this location. It was last seen Tuesday evening. Vehicle was not stolen. It was impounded per bobcat owner. Vehicle owner information has been given to impound lot owner. Attempted to contact Reporting Person. RP hung up on officer. No report.

7:42 p.m. - Follow-up investigation in the 200 block of East Pecan Street. Reporting Person wants to talk to officer about his truck being moved from behind Bobcat. Officer explained to RP who has vehicle. No offense occurred.

10:29 p.m. - Suspicious vehicle in the 1200 block of North Louisiana Drive. White truck parked behind locked gate at closed business after hours. It was owner's son checking on building. No offense occurred.

11:36 p.m. - Animal complaint in the 1300 block of Caruth Lane. Dog barking in backyard. Officer checked area, unable to locate dogs barking.

Aug. 30

3:13 p.m. - Harassment in the 500 block of Paddock Lane. Contact with Reporting Person regarding harassment by phone and email. RP's ex boyfriend will not stop harassing her by phone and email. Information report taken.

5:53 a.m. - Assist other agency in the 5200 block of County Road 52. Backup only.

7:34 p.m. - Suspicious person in the 200 block of Maryland. Suspect on a Mongoose cussed and flipped Reporting Person off for no reason. Unable to locate.

8:09 p.m. - Trash dumping in the 400 block of Tolleson Drive. Ran stop sign, Offense and arrest report for DWI.

10:14 p.m. - Requesting extra patrol in the 400 block of East Beech Street. White older model police-style car, driving very slowly around area. Stopped in front of Reporting Person's house then sped away.

Aug. 31

12:58 a.m. - Suspicious vehicle at Dallas North Tollway and Frontier Parkway. Gray Dodge pickup parked in lane of traffic. Driver was talking on phone and did not want to drive and talk. No offense occurred.

7:18 a.m. - Traffic enforcement in the 300 block of North Louisiana Drive. School zone traffic enforcement, no violations observed.

12:47 p.m. - Animal complaint in the 3000 block of Pecan Grove. Loose large white dog walking on Frontier. Dog ran back into open gate at listed address. Gate secured.

5:10 p.m. - Motorist assist at Preston and County Road 88. Vehicle on side of road with flashers on. Driver ran out of gas, has help on way with gas.

5:37 p.m. - Harassment in the 100 block of South Kentucky Drive. Subject has been getting harassing phone messages. Information report for documentation only at this point.

9:17 p.m. - Traffic hazard at Preston and Pecan. Reporting Person stated lights are not cycling correctly. Lights appear to be cycling correctly.

Sept. 1

2:05 a.m. - Suspicious circumstances in the 500 block of North Ohio Drive. Alarm going off on vehicle in driveway. Resident came out and checked vehicle. No signs of a problem.

2:38 a.m. – Assist other agency in the 3100 block of East Prosper Trail. Suspects broke into golf barn and stole golf carts, are now on foot in area. Referred to another agency, helped check area, did not locate subjects.

6:41 a.m. - Traffic hazard at Preston and County Road 102. Dead deer on roadway. Deer moved off roadway and Animal Control notified.

8:15 a.m. - Phone call in the Dallas Parkway and Light Farms. Hunters not following rules. Referred to another agency. Game warden will call RP.

6:37 a.m. - Firearm complaint in the 2600 block of Twelve Oaks Lane. Coming from the northwest. Officer did not locate hunters, gave RP information about shotgun laws.

6:46 a.m. - Motorist assist at Pecan and Preston. Vehicle stopped too far from stoplight for extended time. Driver thought he had to stop behind where the barricades were located and therefore his vehicle did not activate the lights.

8:10 a.m. - Motorist assist at Dallas Parkway and Light Farms. Vehicle in field with dead battery. Loaned jumper cables and subject went into field and jumped the dead vehicle.

11:09 p.m. - Reckless driver at Dallas Parkway and Farm-to-Market Road 428. Older Tahoe braking in random places and all over the roadway, westbound on Farm-to-Market Road 428. Unable to catch up to or locate vehicle.

Sept. 2

12:04 a.m. – Suspicious circumstances in the 3100 block of Falcon Road. Movement in shadows by open garage door at rear of residence. Was resident and dog. Situation resolved.

10:23 a.m. – Theft in the 300 block of East Main Street. Reporting Person sold her vehicle to another individual who is not making payments. Referred Reporting Person to civil attorney.

5:30 p.m. – Citizen contact and assist in the 12000 block of County Road 8. Subject needed to use phone to call sheriff's office in reference to a civil standby on County Road 8. Referred to another agency, assisted County with domestic investigation and arrest.

5:40 p.m. – Reckless driver at Walnut and Tolleson. Reporting Person advised vehicle all over roadway. Officer made contact with driver, elderly man on his way to eat in downtown Celina. He showed officer pictures of his world travels. He is a missionary with church. No report taken, situation resolved.

Sept. 3

12:09 a.m. Traffic stop at Preston and County Road 55. Speeding, driver was arrested for a warrant, evading arrest in a vehicle, failure to ID, fugitive from justice. Driving while license invalid and retaliation, threatening harm in retaliation on account of the service of another.

12:15 a.m. – Backup officer in the 500 block of North Colorado Drive. Traffic stop, backup only, Hispanic male ran on foot from residence. Subject pursued, subject apprehended and arrested.

1:06 a.m. – Narcotics violation in the 600 block of West Elm Street. Subject in street and high on narcotics. Her dogs are barking because he is there, she would like him removed. Patrolled area, unable to locate. No report taken.

1:17 p.m. - Abandoned vehicle in the 3800 block of North Dallas Parkway. Car on side of road. 48 hour/10 day sticker applied on driver window.

1:40 p.m. – Suspicious circumstances at Preston and County Road 88. Phone call, Reporting Person states that a woman wrote down her license plate and said that she hit her. Officer advised RP that no accident call had been received. No offense occurred.

8:43 p.m. – Motorist assist in the 900 block of South Preston Road. Female at gas pumps with car that will not start. Vehicle was already gone when officer arrived.

11:11 p.m. - Assist other agency in the 4300 block of County Road 168. Backup deputy on domestic. Deputy arrested one.

11:18 p.m. - Assist other agency in the 200 block of West Fifth Street. Assist Prosper on suspicious person. Backup only.

Sept. 4

1:27 a.m. - Suspicious vehicle at County Road 51 and Light Farms. Dark Ford truck driving around in Light Farms. Teens were rabbit hunting. They have permission from landowner.

2:14 a.m. - Assist other agency in the 700 block of Bridgeport Drive. Back up Prosper officer on welfare concern. Subject does have several weapons in house. Attempt was made to contact resident.
