Santa Claus is coming to town! He sent a whole crew of elves to Town East Mall and they have been oh-so busy, decorating the shopping center and making certain that all is bright and fresh, ready for Santa and all his visitors. Santa arrives at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 10 and will settle down in Storybook World, ready to hear holiday wishes from all the boys and girls.

Little ones will find Santa in his imaginative Storybook World, on the lower level near Dillard’s. He’s happy to welcome visitors to sit on his lap and whisper wishes in his ear. He will also have some elves in the Workshop who can take commemorative photos, if desired. Photo packages start at $14.99.

Santa is in Storybook World daily throughout the holiday season. Parents/caregivers should check with one of Santa’s helpers at Storybook World, call 972-270-4431 or visit www.towneastmall.com <http://www.towneastmall.com>  for his schedule. On Monday through Saturday, Santa takes two breaks; and on Sunday, he takes one break. Visits with Santa are at no charge. He leaves on Monday, December 24.

Town East Mall is planning lots of surprises for visitors to the shopping center, including:

Mondays are for furry friends. Santa loves to visit with his furry friends, so on Mondays, November 19 and 26, December 3, 10 and December 17 from 6 to 9 p.m., Town East Mall hosts Pet Nights for cats and dogs to pose with Santa and the family. Photo packages start at $14.99. [Cats and dogs on a leash or in an appropriate carrier only, please. Animals, other than those servicing the disabled, are not allowed in the shopping centers except on Pet Nights.]

The Elf Academy is Saturday, December 8. Town East Mall hosts Elf Academy on Saturday, December 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. Kids can travel station to station, learning about how to be an elf. Upon graduation, each participant will be a certified holiday helper. There is no charge to attend The Elf Academy, held on the lower level near Macy’s.

Ringing the bells on Saturday, December 15. Town East Mall invites kids to come and learn how to play hand bells. Lessons are at no charge and will certainly ring in the holidays with fun. Bell Choir lessons, held on the lower level near Macy’s, are from 2 to 6 p.m.
