By Liese Sherwood-Fabre
On October 29, the Electronic Publishing Industry Coalition (EPIC) announced the debut novel of Lewisville resident Liese Sherwood-Fabre as a finalist in their 2013 eBook Awards. Saving Hope, Dr. Sherwood-Fabre’s novel, chronicles an unemployed microbiologist desperate attempt to save her daughter's life and her inadvertent involvement in a plan to export a deadly biological weapon. The book debuted in May 2012 through Musa Publishing and is available wherever eBooks are sold.
“I’m thrilled and honored to be recognized by this distinguished organization and look forward to meeting the other finalists and attending the awards ceremony in 2013,” she noted.
Established in 1998, EPIC provides hundreds of professionals from all facets of the electronic publishing industry with a strong voice and a unique collaboration to further their interests. The eBook Awards, formerly known as the “EPPIE,” began in 2000 to recognize excellence in electronically published works. Winners will be announced in March at the EPICON 2013 in Vancouver, Washington.
