DENNIE
Alvin Burkley Dennie
A memorial service for Alvin Burkley Dennie will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 17, at Waldo Funeral Home.
Mr. Dennie, 67, passed away Saturday, November 10, at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ Medical Center.
Alvin was born April 10, 1945, in Point, Texas, to the late Henry and Jewel (Gordon) Dennie. Alvin owned and operated Dennie Construction for more than 30 years. He was an active supporter of the Prosper 4H and FFA programs and enjoyed restoring old buildings and furniture in his free time.
Mr. Dennie is survived by his wife, Lucille, of Sherman; two sons, Leslie Dennie and wife, Patricia, of Randolf, Texas, and Keith Dennie and wife, Okay, of Blue Ridge, Texas; one daughter, Stephanie Jones and husband, Johnney, of Roscoe, Texas; one stepdaughter, Regina Sitzes and husband, Mitch Payne, of Pilot Point, Texas; nine grandchildren; one sister, and two brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
