Susan Jane Koiner, 72, went to heaven on Sunday, November 11, 2012, as she passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Rosary service will be 6:30 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012, at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will follow from 7 to 8 p.m.Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with Father Stephen Mocio officiating and burial following at Cedarlawn Cemetery in Sherman, Texas.
Along with her sister Martha, Susan grew up working on the family farm until she married the love of her life, James Koiner of Denison, on May 7, 1959, in Durant, Oklahoma.
She loved and adored nature and her pets as much as life itself. She will be missed by many who she touched with her compassionate nature and motherly love. Susan was proud of her success as an owner and operator of Dairy Queen. She was proud to call every customer and person she met a friend, all those she ever worked with, family.
Preceding her in death is her mother and father Susan Ida (Knittel) Pierce and Sammie Pierce, and sister Martha Lois Bruce.
Mrs. Koiner is survived by her husband, James Koiner of Plano; three sons, Mark Koiner of Allen, Texas, Scott Koiner of Plano, Texas, and Tony Koiner of Allen, Texas; three grandchildren, Reagan Koiner, Morgan Koiner and Reed Koiner, all of Allen, Texas; cousins Philip Usher of Waxahachie, Texas, and Troy Usher and wife, Monique, of Dallas, Texas; niece, Nonnie (Bruce) Hamer and daughter, Ashley, of Burleson, Texas; nephew Craig Bruce and wife, Lisa, of San Antonio, Texas; brothers-in-law, Calvin Bruce and wife, Vivian, of Denison, Texas, Charles Koiner and wife, Veronica, and niece Stacy Koiner of Dublin, Texas, Richard Koiner and wife, Louise, of Clarksville, Texas; sisters-in-law, Betty Prewett and husband, Alvin, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shirley Mullins and husband, Larry, of Morgan Mill, Texas; Doris O'Brien of Savoy, Texas, and Mary Lou Koiner of Colorado; best friend Floy Slominski and husband, Tom, of Grand Forks, North Dakota; and her favorite cat, Crippy.
