Denton County incumbents lead in early voting

Incumbent legislators from the area lead in their races through early voting.
Congressman Michael Burgess (R-Lewisville) leads in the race for U.S. Representative District 26. The incumbent has secured 70.3 percent of the votes compared to Democrat David Sanchez (27.34 percent) and Libertarian Mark Boler (2.34 percent).
State Senator Jane Nelson (R-Flower Mound) leads in the District 12 race over Libertarian John Betts with 85.23 percent of the votes.
State Rep. Tan Parker (R-Flower Mound) leads over Libertarian Bruce Hermann with 87.04 percent of the votes.
In the newly created District 65, Ron Simmons (R-Carrollton) has secured 61.05 percent of the votes to lead Democrat Gary Brown (37.2 percent) and Green Party candidate Alex Mendoza (1 percent).
