RUTLEDGE
Eddie Dudley Rutledge, 71, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on December 11, 2012, in McKinney.
He was born May 6, 1941, in McKinney to Ed and Aline Woods Rutledge. He worked in landscaping and retired after more than 30 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Debby and Joe Gowen of McKinney, Texas, and Betsy Rushing of Denison, Texas; three grandchildren; sister, Joy Sexton of Potomac, Mississippi; brother, David Rutledge of Pottsboro, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Aline Rutledge; brothers, Gerald Rutledge and Kenneth Rutledge; and stepmother, Omega Rutledge.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Charles W. Smith & Sons in McKinney.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 601 S. Tennessee Street, McKinney, Texas 75069. Chaplain Ricky Hargrave will officiate. Burial will follow in Fitzhugh Cemetery.
