Daniel J. Durrick
Daniel J. Durrick, 59, of Allen, Texas, passed away December 21, 2012, in McKinney, Texas.
Daniel was born September 2, 1953, in Troy, New York, to George J. and Irene (O'Konski) Durrick. He married Karen Lambert on August 21, 1992, in Hamlin, New York.
Daniel's easygoing way and sense of humor drew people to him. Whether he was bowling, playing baseball or cheering on his Giants, Dan's love of life, his jokes and anecdotes would have everyone rocking with laughter. As we lay him to rest, we will remember the laughter, love and sense of adventure that were Daniel Durrick.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Durrick of Allen, Texas; daughters, Rachael Durrick of New York, New York and Melissa Durrick of Hartford, Connecticut; nephew, Michael Durrick of Allentown, Pennsylvania; brother, Michael Durrick of Myrtle Beach, North Carolina, stepdaughters, Heather Lentz-Jones of Plano, Texas and Jennifer Lentz of Salem, Oregon; stepsons, Lawrence Lentz of Spencerport, New York and Jeffery Lentz of Hamlin, New York; 15 grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, George Durrick.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Refreshments will be available following the service at Dan's and Karen's residence.
