Maxine Kinder Kulka, 92, of Lewisville, passed on December 7, 2012.
She was born on October 25, 1920, in Bentonville, Indiana.She served her country as a 1st Lt. in the US Army Nursing Corps from 1943 to 1946, serving overseas during World War II. She continued her nursing career after the war in Chicago, Ill., and Knoxville, Tenn.
She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her children, Margaret (Megan) Kulka of Alsip, Illinois, Stanley J. Kulka Jr. and wife Marianne of Flower Mound, Texas, and Stephen P. Kulka of Jacksonville, Florida.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley J. Kulka Sr.; her two sisters, Mary McBride and Goldie Greene; and brother, John Kinder.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 15, at Dalton and Sons Funeral Home, 1550 North Stemmons Freeway, Lewisville, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States. She was enlisted as Maxine Kinder, and earned the rank of 1st Lt, ANC.
