Harlan Eugene Burt
Harlan Eugene Burt passed away on December 29, 2012.
We lost our loving husband, father, grandfather, and dear friend to a very short battle with cancer.
Harlan was born on June 21, 1935, in Russell, Minnesota, to Harold and Nina Burt. He was the eldest of seven children. He married his high school sweetheart, Maxine, in 1956. Together, they raised four beautiful, loving children.
Harlan was a dedicated retail manager for Woolworth Co., TG&Y, MJDesigns, and Bed Bath and Beyond.
Harlan is survived by his wife, Maxine, of Frisco, Texas; along with his children, Cheryl Boley and husband John of McKinney, Texas, Michele Griffith and husband Rick of Plano, Texas, Craig Burt and his wife Debra of Houston, Texas,and Darci McNary and husband Bryan of Frisco, Texas; his grandchildren, Jason Boley, Chris Boley and wife Sadie, Tara Jasso and husband Tommy, Tonya Griffith, Taylor Griffith, Kelsey Burt, Bailey McNary, and Kinsey McNary; his great-grandchildren, MaKayla Griffith, Kiera Jasso, Riley Jasso and Kadian Griffith; siblings, Clinton Burt and wife Joan, Bernie Burt and wife Marie, Kathy Robb and husband Ron, and Ginger Burt, all residing in Minnesota, along with Jim Burt and wife Sue of Wisconsin, and Dallas Burt of Oklahoma. He also had nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Nina Burt; sister, Myrtle Louise; and grandchildren, Joseph Burt, Candace Burt and Crystal Boley.
Harlan will forever live in the hearts of many people who had the privilege of knowing such a kind and loving man.
The family received friends at a visitation held on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Frisco. A memorial Mass was held Thursday, January 3, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco.
