Glen Alvin Westbrook

Glen Alvin Westbrook of Celeste, Texas, formerly of Little Elm, died peacefully at his home early on December 30.

He was born June 17, 1930 in Alba, Texas, to W.D. and Vera Westbrook.

He was a retired Braniff airline mechanic and Little Elm ISD director of transportation. He was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church of the Nazarene in Greenville, Texas, and a Korean War veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Westbrook, of Celeste, Texas; her three sons and seven grandchildren; his two daughters, Rhonda Wells of Celina, Texas, and Leta Gayle Walker and her husband, Kyle, of Mabank, Texas; one son, Darryl Westbrook and his wife, Nicky, of Weatherford, Texas; seven grandchildren, Laura, Joshua, Jacob, Ryan, Jordan, Duncan and Brody; one sister, Bonnie Ruth Green, of Bedford, Texas; and one brother, Roy Westbrook, of Mineola, Texas.

Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. January 3 at the Cornerstone Community Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ron Hight and Reverend Marvin McDaniel with visitation at 1:00 p.m. and interment at McWright Cemetery in Celeste.
