Horn got off to an impressive start to the season, sweeping all four games to take first place at the Waxahachie Highway 287 Tournament last week.
The Jaguars took down a crosstown rival in the finale on Saturday with a 3-1 victory over Poteet.
After not scoring in the first half, the Horn offense got untracked in the second.
In the 52nd minute, Jordan Kondikoff scored off an assist from Haley Hicks to give the Jaguars their first goal of the game. Just two minutes later, Kondikoff set up Courtney King for what proved to be the game-winning score.
Horn tacked on an insurance goal in the 68th minute when Kondikoff picked up her second assist on a goal by Torry Sayman.
The goal for Poteet was the only one allowed by Bayleah Hill in the tournament, as she had posted three consecutive shutouts prior to that match.
The Jaguars had an easy time in the opener on Thursday as Arianna Dunsworth tallied a hat trick in a 8-0 blanking of Adamson.
Horn wasted little time getting started, as King scored off an assist from Isabel Gracia just two minutes into the match and Brooke Hill scored an unassisted goal just three minutes later to make it 2-0.
Gracia tendered her second assist in the 14th minute by setting up Kondikoff for a score and that was when Dunsworth took over, scoring three conscutive times with assists from Adrianna Smith, Hicks and Lizeth Campos to make it 6-0.
One minute after Dunsworth completed the hat trick, Sayman scored an unassisted goal and shortly after, Kondikoff fed Hicks for a score to put the finishing touches on the win.
The Jaguars had a much tougher time in its next two matches.
In its second match on Thursday, King scored in the second minute off an assist from Hicks and Bayleah Hill and the defense made it stand up in a 1-0 victory over Waxahachie.
On Friday, Horn and Skyline battled to a scoreless tie through regulation and overtime. The game went to a shootout where Hicks, Gracia and Bayleah Hill converted for a 3-2 edge in penalty kicks.
North Mesquite claimed a pair of victories at the Richland Winter Classic.
The Stallions started strong on Thursday, as Aileen Lara scored twice and Megan Potter and Alexis Santos added goals in a 4-0 shutout of Fort Worth North Side.
North Mesquite followed up with another victory on Friday, as Kory Dixon and Santos provided the scoring to help edge North Crowley, 2-1.
The Stallions and Richland finished in a scoreless tie in their first game on Saturday. In the finale, Dixon scored her second goal of the tournament, but it was not enough, as North Crowley gained some revenge with a 2-1 shootout win.
