Adam Esserine, 15, and Jared Esserine, 13, sons of Scott and Marie Esserine of Frisco, Texas, were awarded their Eagle Scout on Nov. 11, 2012. They will be recognized during an Eagle Court of Honor on Jan. 20, 2013. Adam and Jared are members of Crew 1187 sponsored by the Frisco 2nd Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Adam's service project consisted of more than 1,300 project hours directing the funding, design and build of antique-style gliding chairs for the Frisco Heritage Society. The chairs will provide a place for visitors to enjoy Frisco's historical square, where there is a working blacksmith shop, church, and other historic buildings.
Jared's service project consisted of more than 400 hours directing the funding, design and build of a bulletin board for Frisco Family Service's community garden, which will be used to help inform and educate local residents on volunteer opportunities and growing gardens in Texas.
