Joyce Brown
Joyce Brown, 80, of Princeton, Texas, passed away January 7, 2013.
She was born November 2, 1932, in Summerville, Georgia, to Marion Francis Mobbs and Lucille (Doster) Mobbs. On August 9, 1981, she married Ralph Lynn Brown in Mesquite, Texas.
Joyce worked as a clerk for AT&T for more than 25 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of McKinney, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and helping with meals on Wednesday evenings.
She is survived by her daughter, Marcie Vaughn and husband, Brian of Princeton, Texas; son, Eddie Hall and wife, Vickie of Lone Oak, Texas; stepdaughter, Barbara Martin and husband, Danny of Refugio, Texas; stepsons, Jimmy Brown and David Brown, both of Rockport, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Stone, Ashley Vernon, Alissa Norris, David Quintal Jr., Chris Magee, Jennifer Hall, Allan Hall, Brittany Vaughn and Robert Brake; 15 great-grandchildren; sister, Marceline Hurley and husband, Gene of Branson, Missouri; and son-in-law, David Quintal Sr.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Lucile Mobbs; husband, Ralph Brown; and her daughter, Kay Quintal.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2013, at First Baptist Church of McKinney with Rev. Randy Morlan officiating. Interment will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Prosper, Texas.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Thursday to pay their respects and to sign the register book.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at First Baptist Church of McKinney.
