PUCKETT

James Asa Puckett Jr., born to Dr. James Asa Puckett Sr. and Edna Nicholson Puckett in Louisville, Kentucky, on April 7, 1957, entered into eternity on January 2, 2013, at his home surrounded by friends and loved ones in Princeton, Texas.
Jim graduated from Harlandale High School in San Antonio, Texas. He then graduated Baylor University in 1981 with a BA in English and Journalism. Jim also attended Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. He taught at Carter Riverside High School in Fort Worth, Texas.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Dr. James Asa Puckett Sr., and his firstborn granddaughter, Lilly-Maih Callaway.
Jim is survived by his mother, Edna Nicholson Puckett of McKinney, Texas; sister Carole Puckett Lockwood of San Antonio, Texas; brother Timothy Puckett of Allen, Texas; wife Karen Puckett of Princeton, Texas; sons U.S. Army Sgt. Jeremy S. Callaway of Fort Campbell, Kentucky, USMC Sgt. Jonathan L. Callaway of Quantico, Virginia, and Jacob Callaway of Princeton, Texas; and granddaughters Taylee and Raelyn Callaway of Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
The family received visitors from noon to 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2012, at Faith Baptist Church in Princeton. A funeral service immediately followed at the church at 1:00 p.m., with burial following at Princeton Cemetery.
