SISD inclement weather procedures
The cold weather has arrived! Colder temperatures could mean possible inclement weather and poor driving conditions.
Should it become necessary to cancel classes or delay the start of classes, Sunnyvale ISD will provide the school community with information in a timely fashion. The decision to cancel classes or delay the campus start time will be made as early as possible, typically by 6 a.m. Visit www.sunnyvaleisd.com for SISD's inclement weather procedures.
School Board Recognition Month
January is School Board Recognition Month in Texas. SISD wishes to thank the seven community members who voluntarily help govern its schools.
"With so many important issues facing public education today, Sunnyvale is fortunate to have a group of trustees who are as dedicated to advocating for our students' education and well-being," Superintendent Doug Williams said. "Our board members are dedicated to our mission of providing the highest quality public education and creating life-long learners."
The board members serving SISD are Brad Cravens (president), Linda Gooch (vice president), Janet Clements (secretary), Kimberly Ingram, Dr. Joe Quinn, DVM, Gerald Thorne and Michael Threet.
