Boys basketball: Cline leads all scorers at NTBCA All-Star Game

The skills of a plethora of local basketball players were on display Saturday at the North Texas Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game at Creekview High School in Carrollton.
The contest featured seniors only in a white vs. blue format. The Blue Team was coached by former Naaman Forest and newly-appointed Plano East coach Jeff Clarkson, while Denton Ryan's Bryce Overstreet manned the bench for the White Team.
Following a tightly-contested first half, the White Team went on a 71-52 run in the second half to secure a 127-109 victory.
Joining Cline on the squad was Creekview's Justin Cueto (10 points), Hebron's Drew Nelson (eight points), Carroll's Max Berman (seven points), Carroll's Clay Youngblood (three points), Coppell's Warren Oishi (three points), Coppell's Austin Mankin (five points) and Prestonwood's Mitch Freeman (three points).
Competitors for the Blue Team included Frisco Lone Star's Charles Brakes -- who scored a team-high 20 points -- Plano Senior's Austin Mitchell (15 points), Mesquite's Eric Reed (14 points), The Colony's Kendall Jones (one point) and The Colony's Antoine Burrell (six points).
