Run On! opens new location
Recently, Run On!, a specialty running store based in Dallas, announced that its sixth store has officially opened in Southlake. This location is the first of a six-store expansion, brought on by the recent acquisition of the company to Denver-based Running Specialty Group. The Southlake store is located at 2175 E. Southlake Blvd, Suite 170.
"We are excited to start new growth within the Run On! family of stores," said Bob Wallace, president and founder of Run On!. "Run On! believes in being part of the communities where we have stores, and by opening this new location in Southlake, we are confident we will reach new customers but also provide convenience to our existing customers who live in the area."
In early October 2012, Run On! entered into an agreement with Running Specialty Group, a joint venture between The Finish Line Inc. and Gart Capital Partners, to sell the existing five stores, but to also grow the business by six stores in the next 18 months.
Bob Wallace bought Phidippides, an existing running store, in March 1995 and renamed it Run On!. Over the past 17 years, Wallace and his wife, Rebecca, have expanded to five area locations including the original Mockingbird store, Richardson, McKinney, Coppell and the newest location at Preston/Forest that recently celebrated its one year anniversary. The Wallaces will remain with the company as it grows in the Dallas/Fort Worth market.
Run On! offers a variety of shoe and apparel options, but more specifically, the company is known for its customized shoe-fitting experience. Run On! offers training programs and free weekly social runs at all of its current locations.

i5 web works launches new website
i5 web works, an award-winning Internet marketing agency in Dallas Fort Worth, has launched a new, mobile-friendly website. While the URL remains the same, www.i5ww.com, the design, graphics and content have changed to reflect the agency's expanded Internet marketing solutions for businesses in Dallas Fort Worth.
Defined as The Whole Shebang on the new site, i5 web works emphasizes the importance for businesses to have a comprehensive Internet presence that encompasses a variety of activities that must be managed on an ongoing basis:
* Search engine optimization
* Social media
* Content development
* Internet advertising (pay-per-click)
* Email marketing
* Website design
* Website management
* Website hosting
"There are many companies that provide one or two of these Internet marketing services in Dallas Fort Worth, but very few that do it all. This is what differentiates i5 web works because we help businesses with both inbound and outbound marketing," said Michael Burns, co-founder and partner of i5 web works, noting the company is certified and trained in SEO and pay-per-click services. "While we do offer individual services and packages, we have found that the best results are achieved when all the activities are combined into a comprehensive program."
According to Carita Weaver, co-founder and partner of i5 web works, the website features both a new design and content to reflect the company's strategic shift from primarily website development to offering comprehensive Internet marketing solutions in Dallas Fort Worth.
"Our website had not kept up with our expanded services. It was a complete overhaul and the process really made us think about how we want to market ourselves," Weaver said. "We needed to convey the importance of our Internet marketing services to businesses in Dallas Fort Worth, but we got creative with the presentation by using an unexpected theme and graphics to tell our story."
Weaver is referring to cooking analogies and catch phrases, such as 'a taste of our kitchen' and 'sample our selections' that are cleverly used throughout the website to demonstrate the agency's comprehensive programs as well as 'a la carte' services such as social media and website design. A link to the i5 web works blog and social media pages are prominently featured on each page, encouraging people to visit those sites. An expanded portfolio demonstrates the agency's extensive client list that includes:
* manufacturing
* retail
* restaurants
* professional services
* healthcare
* non-profits
The most notable new feature is a two-minute video about i5 web works that takes center stage on the home page. The video introduces Pat, a small business owner who needs help navigating the Internet -- her website, social media, blog, search engine optimization, mobile marketing, and online advertising.
"The video is fun to watch, easy to understand, and we believe most small business owners can relate to Pat's dilemma. Video marketing can be so effective for most businesses, so we thought the best way to demonstrate this service was to do one for ourselves," Burns said. "The Internet has changed the way people buy products and services. Businesses that do not have a strong Internet presence are losing new customers."
