12-5A GIRLS BASKETBALL: Jaguars cruise past Stallions to close regular season

With a chance to win the outright 12-5A championship, Horn came out intent to play four full quarters.
The Jaguars did most of their heavy lifting in the first two. Horn opened the game on a 11-2 run and had a 25-5 lead by halftime as it rolled to a 46-25 victory on Tuesday.
The Jaguars improve to 11-1 in district play as they wrap up the district championship and top seed in the playoffs.
Horn got 14 points from Lauren Bradshaw and 10 from Jada Underwood while North Mesquite's Makqhuisha Carruth led her team wtih 14 points.
The Jaguars will open the playoffs in the bi-district round against Sachse on Monday at 7 p.m. at Poteet High School.
Mesquite had a bye on Tuesday after having clinched the second seed in last Friday's 57-52 win over Rockwall. The Skeeters will play Lakeview in the bi-district round on Monday at 7 p.m. at Royse City High School.
Rockwall, which routed Longview on Tuesday in a 75-44 win, will play Naaman Forest next week at a time and place to be determined, while the Lobos will face 11-5A champion Rowlett on Monday at 7 p.m. at Lindale High School.
