District 5-5A boys basketball teams got their final tune-ups for district Tuesday with Flower Mound, Lewisville and Marcus all in action.

Unfortunately, only one will be entering district competition riding the momentum of a win as Marcus was the lone squad to pick up a victory.

Behind 16 points from Aaron Steele, the Marauders knocked off Plano Senior, 50-48.

Marcus led at halftime, 29-20, before holding off the Wildcats in the second half.

Jack Holden and Kaden Smith chipped in 11 and nine points, respectively.

Flower Mound, meanwhile, came up short in its contest against Plano West, falling to the Wolves on the road, 78-71.

While the Jaguars had four players score in double figures and posted more than 60 points for sixth time in seven games, a six-point third quarter proved to be Flower Mound's undoing.

Jacob Feickert and Justin Gammill led the offense with 19 and 18 points, respectively, with Ryan Reibly contributing 12 and Brandon Langley following with 11.

Soso Jamabo paced West with a game-high 21 points.

Lewisville, meanwhile, had trouble slowing down Triple A Academy.

The Farmers fell behind after one quarter, 22-13, and surrendered at least 15 points in each quarter, including 43 in the third and fourth, combined.

King McClure notched a game-high 32 points for Triple A Academy, while Jeremiah Jefferson scored 21.

For Lewisville, Anthony Davis and Jaden Wright led the way with 15 and 13 points, respectively.

On Friday, district action kicked off with Lewisville hosting Denton Ryan, Marcus at Coppell and Flower Mound at Hebron (results not available as of press time).

Tuesday, the Farmers host Hebron at 7:30 p.m. with Flower Mound going on the road to take on the Marauders at the same time.
