MCKINNEY - Citizens elected Roger Harris to the McKinney City Council at-large seat, as 64.77 percent of voters chose Harris over opponent Steve Bell in the runoff election Saturday night.

The results for the Carrollton City Council runoff elections are final. Joining the council will be Anthony Wilder in Place 2 and Bob Garza in Place 4.

LEWISVILLE -- After more than three months of campaigning, Leroy Vaughn has won a seat on the Lewisville City Council.

PLANO - Pat Gallagher is the newest member of the Plano City Council, defeating Greg Myer in the race for Place 7 with 56 percent of the vote. Only 2.3 percent of the city's 143,000 registered voters cast ballots during the runoff.

Denton County released the unofficial results for the Little Elm Runoff Election for Place 1 on the Town Council, naming candidate Richard Stevens as the winner.

As the polls closed for the Little Elm Runoff Election for Place 1 at 7 p.m. today, the early voting results were released by Denton County.

At its special and regular meetings Tuesday, the McKinney City Council made official its makeup for the coming year, as it swore in re-elected incumbents Geralyn Kever and Ray Ricchi and elected District 3 Councilman Travis Ussery as the new mayor pro tem.

Early voting for the runoff election between McKinney City Council at-large candidates Steve Bell and Roger Harris began Monday. Both candidates are encouraging residents to stray from an apathetic trend and use their vote to make the right choice.

To vote in the July 16 Special Election, residents must be registered to vote by Thursday, June 16. The registration process is simple: pick up a voter registration card at city hall or the Rowlett Public Library to complete and mail in or fill out a voter registration application online.

The runoff candidates for Rowlett City Council have been down this road before but this time there will be a victor.

The Collin County Association of Realtors (CCAR) recently endorsed McKinney City Council at-large candidate Roger Harris for the June 18 runoff election against Steve Bell.

"If you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

Only two weeks remain before a victor is named in the Place 7 Plano City Council runoff election. The two candidates are not only battling each other but also voter apathy as they prepare for early voting, which begins Monday.
